Year 3 have made an excellent start to the school year.
We have been learning about fables in English: performing and writing our own version of The Hare and the Tortoise.
In maths, we have been securing our knowledge of number and have moved on to different methods for addition and subtraction.
We have been learning the French language and we are getting really good at greeting each other as well as asking and responding to questions in French.
In Geography, we have been studying our local area and creating maps of the human and physical features.
In science, we are currently learning about animals and humans; looking at nutrition and the importance of a healthy diet.
We are letting our creative juices flow in art by using a range of techniques and materials to reproduce Van Gogh’s famous ‘Starry Night’ painting.
We are enjoying invasion games in PE and competing against our friends, particularly dodgeball.
In music, we are learning to play the penny whistle, which we love.
Miss Dodds is very proud of the amazing work we have produced in all of her lessons.
