Online safety at home.

Online learning at home
  • Free offers to support Home learning
  • Online safety at home.

The internet and online technology provides lots of opportunities for young people’s learning and growth, but it can also expose them to new types of risks.

E-safety forms a fundamental part of Laygate Primary School’s safeguarding and child protection measures and children are taught about E-safety from EYFS onwards.

Education about child online safety shouldn’t stop in the classroom. There are plenty of ways parents/carers can be involved in the process too and there is a variety of useful resources, games and information online. E-safety can be taught to children in sensitive and fun ways.

Please remember:

  • When children are completing work or research online that they are supervised – whether through completing the work with the children or checking the sites they have been using.
  • Make sure all parental controls and security settings are in place.
  • Remind your child/children of keeping themselves safe online and what to do if they are unhappy with something they see online or if they are worried about anything.
  • Too much screen time can have a negative impact on a child’s health and well-being.
  • To complete any E-Safety assignments teachers set on Google Classroom.

Thank-you.

#OnlineSafetyAtHome Every fortnight CEOP will be issuing new home activity packs. Each pack will contain simple 15-minute activities parents can do at home with their child using the Thinkuknow resources.  Click on this link for the resources:
