Statutory Assessment Information

In the Summer Term, children in Year 6 will take the SATs tests. These tests in English and Maths reflect the 2014 National Curriculum.

At the end of Year 6, children will sit tests in:

  • Reading
  • Maths
  • Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling

These tests will be both set and marked externally. Your child’s marks will be used in conjunction with teacher assessments (including those for writing) to give a broader picture of their attainment by the end of KS2.

Also during May, the Year 2 children will take part in the end of KS1 assessments for Reading, Writing, GPaS and Maths. These are used alongside teacher assessments to give a broader picture of their attainment by the end of KS1.
