Message from Judith Ward, Chair of Governors
Welcome to the governor’s section of the school website. I hope that you will find the information in this area useful.
You will find details of our terms of office, any committees to which we are attached and a register of governor interests. Other sections contain governor attendance information for the last academic year and our annual statement which outlines the key issues that have faced the Governing Board and our assessment of the impact we have had on the school during 2018/19. Additionally there are the pen portraits of the members of the Governing Board. From these you will see that we are from diverse backgrounds and a very eclectic mix of people. This ensures that we bring a multitude of different skills and expertise to our role as governors.
It is a privilege to chair this team but also a responsibility I take very seriously. I am extremely proud of my role and the voluntary team of governors that I lead. They are tremendously hardworking and committed to ensuring that all of our children at Laygate receive an excellent education in an exceptionally vibrant and caring environment. Our key aim is that our children will receive an outstanding level of education and pastoral care which will ensure they achieve their full potential and are fully equipped to become responsible citizens of the future.
