What a fantastic day we all had celebrating World Book Day!

We loved our visit to the word. We found out about space, our universe and what different planets were called. We had the opportunity to design our own planets and aliens. We then went to read books in the area. Some of us were then using the magnets to write words.
We had a wonderful surprise of a pantomime in school. The show was Aladdin and we loved it. We loved singing and clapping along. Mrs Houghton was even chosen to get up and dance.
Recently, the School Council met with a gentleman called Graham Whitehead. He is the project manager for our School building.
As you know the school yard is currently under repair and the School Council decided it would be a good idea if some of the surface could be replaced with Astro turf. They asked the other pupils in school for their opinion by issuing a questionnaire. The majority of the school thought it would be a good idea.
Today the School Council delivered a presentation to Graeme around this idea and some of the work they have done towards it. He was very impressed and is going to discuss this with the rest of his team and get back to us. Fingers crossed.
Watch this space!……
