Summer Holiday Club
Monday 26 July to Friday 3 September
You can now enrol your child in a free holiday club programme over the summer. There are free places available for children and young people in South Tyneside who are eligible for benefits related free school meals or families who are experiencing hardship, where they can enjoy a variety of creative and physical activities, alongside a nutritious meal every day.
Sessions include sports, music, arts, crafts, outdoor challenges, nature and treasure trails as well as fun problem-solving challenges and nutrition and wellbeing sessions.
Activities cater for children aged 5 to 16. Activities are held throughout the summer across South Tyneside. All events are subject to availability and COVID restrictions. Booking is essential.
Activities and food are funded by the Department for Education.

If you are thinking of enrolling your child/children with providers of extra-curricular activities, e.g. sport, drama and dance clubs. We would encourage you to ask questions about the existence of safeguarding measures and policies and not assume that they are in place already. If your child/children already attend such clubs it may be worth making checks too.
We would encourage you to ask important questions regarding safeguarding when you are considering leaving your children in the care of these providers.
Please click the link for more information: https://stop-cse.org/tackling-cse-in-sports/. This webpage contains advice about what to look out for when signing up for sports activities for their children, but this could apply to any extra-curricular club.
