We’re going on a trip in our Laygate rocket ship!!

We have loved learning about space and all of the different planets so much that we decided to make our own rocket ship for our role play area so we can go on our very own space adventures!
Some children went to the moon and took a picnic,  they wrote a list of all the lovely things they would take with them, and others took a trip to Bob’s moon shop and bought moon cakes and space ice cream whilst working together to recognise the correct coins.
 

Children’s Mental Health Week

We have started Children’s Mental Health Week with a special assembly with our Children’s Mental Health Practitioner Natalie. We talked about how we can keep a healthy mind. We used characters from Disney’s Inside Out to help us talk about feelings. Keeping active with exercise is very important. It also links to our Spreading happiness project.

Milk Monitors

Alisha, Maha and Emelia have asked to be our class milk monitors. They are amazing!!! They independently set up milk, water and snack. They monitor the correct lists and have even started their own order system using tally lines!

Power Rangers!!

Asterio made a Power Ranger with Inter Star. We think it is utterly amazing!!!
Well done Asterio, he has inspired lots of imaginary play.
