We have now started our home reading books. Hamza and Roman have both wowed Mrs Gibson! They have both been able to fluently read their books and sight read Tricky words. Wow, wow, wow. Keep it up boys, we are so proud of you both.
We are learning about light and dark and shadows. Izabelle and Lillie May made a shadow puppet theatre out of duplo and paper. They investigated how they could make shadow puppets using real puppets. Great investigation work girls! 
Amanda and Phillipa came to visit us from the Word with some new ball robots. They had a protective case and they could be controlled in paint! We used iPads to control them. We looked at colour mixing and the different shapes we could make.
Davi and Anh made rangoli patterns using Numicon. They were able to make their patterns symmetrical which was amazing! Well done boys.
We have been looking at poetry and using ‘firework night’ by Enid Blyton as a focus. We have invented our own noise poems and created our own firework photography using glow sticks and an app called ‘pablo’.
Alisha received a mini certificate for being an amazing pupil today. Her manners were exceptional and she was extremely helpful during tidy up time. Well done Alisha!
Our Anti Bullying Week Class Ambassador is Lexie. She is a kind friend to all of our class and is always positive. Keep it up Lexie!
We are currently using one of Mrs Gibson’s favourite books; Burglar Bill. The boys are loving the Police theme and asked if we had any costumes. They have been hunting for clues in the class. Watch this space for work about our own criminal characters!
